Tbh mate once she hits flower you can take the drip ring off completely, she will be bottom fed by then by the air stones

Which reminds me, don't forget to drill more holes or make the other ones slightly bigger

The tape on the drip ring is easy, just get strips of gaffa tape and put them over the top of the tube above the holes, don't block the holes obviously, make sure some of the tape is hanging down so the water can run down it and safely drip onto the pebbles

yeh, it seems a dark purple...

if anything i might of made the holes a bit too big.. had to civ the smaller ones but they are laying in ph 5.5 atm...
it started off around 7-8 but since i adjusted about 4hours ago it has stayed the same...

its about 1cm above cube and its in the dome at about 7-8inches away from t5.
feels nice seeing it pop out.. was only a seed monday morning.

Try getting that bulb a touch closer if you can, keep them nodes nice and tight, have you got your fan blowing on her?
Will need to strengthen up that stem for all the bud it will end up carrying

ive taken the dome off, lowered the light to about half an inch from tips and added a fan to the mix on a low setting.
temp has dropped. its now between 20-21c and RH @ 49%

what can i do about the RH withought having to put the dome back on and raising the light?
and are the temps ok now? o have an old amp under the unit which has been keeping the cab floor warm kinda like a heating mat.
keeps everything as i posted before..

one of the starter leafs broke at the base but its looking healthy..

when i was growing outdoors last year i used to squeze the stem a little bit after a few noke and the burst of growth from underneat was inmense..
should i do that with this one seen as its likely to be sativa dominant?


what do you think about the lighting mate? mh for veg or am i good to go with the dual spec and maybe add some blue cfls into the ten to add the extra blue?
i wanna stick to 400w for now though.. the bigger tent is more to accomodate stretch and equipment and still be able to move in there..

Mornin krofam, sorry mate I was knocked out last night after some train wreck

Do you have a spray bottle? Every couple of hours just sprayer with plain water, just a gently misting will do
That will keep the rh up a bit, although she will do fine as she stands

About pinching, I have never used this technique so that's up to you I can't advise ya on that one

Have you got a 400w Mh? If so then make sure you have the right ballast as some ballasts don't power metal halide
You will be ok with the t5 until she proper starts going for it, then the dual spec will be fine to take over the t5

Obviously the environmentals will become a bit harder to control once you up the wattage, got a feeling you already knew this though

This is gonna be a great grow mate, got a good feeling about this

Use the Gallery link at the top left of the page and get yourself a member gallery, you can upload pics to your albums there and then link the pics to your posts so no more little pics .

mornin ph, no worries...
i have probs with sleeping, one of the reason i want to grow my own quality buds.. stuff round these ways is pretty crap..
and when its good its also expensive.

i have a lumatek digital dimable ballast upto 600w.. i think its for both mh and hps...
because its a sativa dominant strain im gona order a 400w mh to keep them nodes real tight..
any recommendations? might even get a 600w dual spec for flower depending how much of the screen she fills with A 400W MH.

and yes, ive read up a bit about enviromental factors in a grow.. another reason i prefer the 24/7 veg cycle.
good thing about the room im using is that its pretty much at a constant temp.. and if i want a 2c drop all i gota do is open the door
and the draft sorts it out for me.

the tower fan if for the res and under canopy colling..

i have a temp controlled extractor and read up that lower temps bring out the purples.. what temp should i set it to and where should i place the probe for it?
i dont really see high temps beeing a problem due to this piece of kit so wanted to know a sweet temp to just set it to..

also i have put the min setting on the extractor to 20% but ii think this might be too much as ducting is pretty short on both in and out..
when i do temp tests in a few days im gona see what kind of temps i get at what percentages and see which works best.. the controller is basicaly for safety

got a spray bottle but it doesnt mist.. i leave it open when not using and have it labled with love peace health and strength..
