    Default Can you get caught by your electric usage?

    I'm thinking of a 1000w setup, plus a 250w veg tent.
    That's a lot of electric, without the fans and filters etc.

    I'm wondering, is it possible for the electric company to see a massive hike in my bills and grass me up?
    Have a look at my 250w Growdrobe---> https://www.thctalk.com/cannabis-foru...owdrobe-please

    The leccy meter is the last thing I would be para about if I had a big grow, more like where the fook do I hide the tent

    And even if they were to call and ask about your increased useage, just tell them you got an electric fireplace

    Well it's not going to be a big tent. I'm going to do a 2 plant scrog with the 1000w

    I wouldn't put a 1000w in a tent smaller than 1.2m squared, thats a pretty big tent to hide if you live in an apartment.
    The again, I havent tried hiding one yet, still looking at wardrobes big enuf to hold a tent

    as long as your not running x? amount of1000's of watts I wouldn't worry as long as you pay the bill I think I Could run 2x600w without any probs as its a family home So enough leccy gets used regardless

    This is true, but they don't run for 12/18/24 hours per day, or even every day, so their actual usage is likely to be much lower than a grow setup that is on for long periods at a time every day.

    as your paying your bills youll be sound with what your using
    I reckon you're right, and that this is true in almost every case

    It's when people start abstracting electricity that they get really interested.
