Keep in mind this was a cheap DIY job.. I got a small toy box with a lid. I put some small holes under half way down all round the box. Cut a hole in the lid for a fan then attracted the vent pipe. In the grow box at the other end is another fan both sucking. Put some ona gel in the bottom and ice, water and ya ready to go.. This keeps the smell low with. 2 plants, all the smell goes into the container with the gel... Then comes out the holes

To be honest I'm lucky to be in work,and sometimes abit over the top,but it's so important you don't have any smell,full stop.

What's the difference with ona block that's like a hard lump then?

That's what I used last grow, I put 1/4 tub into a take-away pot with a load of holes drilled into it then stuck that into my 6" extraction ducting and then had that blowing upstairs' seemed to work fine for me....never had any smell of weed, only ever smelt the "linen" smell

How long was it good for in your extraction mate?

About 2weeks, so I used about 1/4 every 2weeks, the tub lasted 8-9 weeks.
Not sure how much the tub was now, about £10-15 I think.
Only did it for flower, not veg.
Put my filter on from the start and never had a problem, well not with smell any way.
