From what I know you have outdoor experience and a bit if coco indoors which to be honest coupled with lack of understand the latest nutrients is where your going wrong.

This foliar spraying will help a problem but not fix it. Fix the problem with ph and its sorted. No need to go out buying alsorts of nutrients and meters because the ph is out. It's simple solutions as woody said, kis. Keep it simples.

I have told you this before but the advise has not been taken, even to the extent your pming people others are trying to help telling them to folair spray and that to expect conflicting advise about it. Stay out if what you are not a part of and stick to what you know. Everyone else can manage to do this.
There's no need to get involved in every infirmary thread because you think you have a better way. theres more than one way to grow and sometimes it will go against what you think is right but it doesn't mean the other advise is wrong. Horses for courses.

Lots of fluffy looking stuff on the roots can look like mold but infact is micro roots all clustered together. just my 2p
