M8 you need to take them outa the water or they will never root, you dont want your blocks soaking but not dry, dampish to encourage root growth.

i see what your saying jimmi, and thanks for advice. but this is part of a mentor grow by G_UNIT, and he says that he puts his cuttings straight in his rdwc. with the water level just above bottom of basket, so the bottom of cubes are the same as my mini box set up.
this is my first attemp at cuttings and hydro, so ill do as he says. as he is mentoring me, and i am using his set up.
but thanks man.
Didn`t see it was a mentoring grow m8, but yes as he does you can do cutts, but you need the water bubbling with an airstone and i just stick the cutting straight into water, i just not too sue about oversoakinmg those blocks, it may hold them back, see what your man says m8, cheers bud.
I will say with certainty that rock wool roots much faster when it is damp/moist but not wet. Someone I know uses globs of rooting gel and soaks the cubes. In the SAME EXACT setup, meaning he puts his clones in my cloner his rate is probably 25% or less. Not to be a dick, but i'm not going to tell him how to clone. If he can't clearly see the difference and success rate between soaking in water and gel compared to just a little gel and moist rock wool then I'm not going to point it out to him. The proof is in the pudding, and I've given small hints and suggestions but he just keeps failing away...In fact I'm about to take a few cuttings from one of his strains because the 5-6 he's taken, non have rooted.
As you mentioned, you are not using rock wool. My next time to the grow shop i'll be buying some rooters similar to what you have. I think those might be better than rock wool.

Oh yeah, I forgot one thing. Your clones do look like they're happy thus far. When I take mine they stand [back] up within half an hour after I put them into the clone box.
this is how i have been rooting my cuttings for almost a year now - it started when i accidentally unplugged my bubble cloner which i had plants in sitting exactly the same way and i have had 100% sucess with this method since or i would not have told him to do it . i sware by the root it cubes as they can be wet but still retain more than enough air to keep the cuts happy .G

depending on the strain between 7-10 days usually - once he has his gas inspection on thursday he'll be transfering them into his rcdwc anyway rooted or notbut i will be using the same method in a couple of weeks when i have flipped my tree's and used some of the low down crap for cuts so i'll do a little cloning diary for everyone to see lol . i have a high tech one made out of a tommie tippie baby bottle steralizer - if my missus ever finds out i have butchered it she'll kill me though it's also transparent so i can take pics of the roots as they develop . i have used rockwool ,jiffys and all sorts of methods over the years and this is the laziest method i have found yet apart from just throwing them in a jar of water ,funnily enough the quickest i have ever rooted a clone was in 6 days and that was just in a pot full of wet vermiculite and nothing else .don't grow in soil anymore so don't really have any need for it anymore but i will do it again at some point to see if that was just a oneof.
Sounds like the Root-it cubes are what's at the business-end of this clone - I'll have to give them a go!
Nice shout lads.
I'm definitely going to try those next time I'm out of cubes, which will be soon. Although I don't know if I should mess with anything seeing the way it's going.
Here's a clone at day 5.
The browning of the roots is due to the seaweed extract coloring the water so dark, not mold or fungus or anything like that.
