I dont see how we cant merge oldschool values coupled with modern technology to bring the youth up with manners and respect. To everyone else my one seems like a brilliant young lad yet in the house he can be kinda sharp with his replies especially when he's on the headphones on playstation being all competitive.

The flip side is that, how do we get the same values into them when technology has made some skills, in themselves, redundant? Yes, like hand writing.
I just find their attitudes are generally horrifying. The only things that they would try, or to make an effort on, are "pushing their luck" and "something for nothing".

Apparently I had a hard life(It wasn't that bad for a 70's kid in my opinion),it's now normal for kids to lie in bed until after lunch,it's also normal for them to sit up to whatever time in the morning doing video calls with friends,and taking the cell phone away is a bad thing as it allows them to talk to friends during the lockdowns etc..
My 2nd daughter was sent home from school 2 days after going back because someone in her class tested positive,my daughter was tested and it was negative but some teacher wants her to get tested again in case its a false negative lol,I told her I have no problem having my daughter tested again if EVERYONE in the school goes and gets tested this week,the poor girl had to wear a mask in the house and sleep in the basement for 2 weeks going by the health service advice.
