Nutrients are added. I dont plan on using distilled water next grow if I could figure out what is a good range for ppm in city water. It's a pain buying all these jugs.

Thank you Jimster! I cant seem to figure out how to love your post. I have a crappy prong post PH tester. I know it isn't right, so ordering a new tester tonight. Thank you!

It's burnt...don't feed/water everday. Flush to bring ppm down and monitor ph like someone else said leaves will not recover, but buds may be saved.

Ph can be a real problem since so many factors can affect it, especially in a hydro grow. I use Promix and haven't had Ph problems in 35 years, but every grow and operation is different. I use tap water, although it is pretty good around here...a little hard but it keeps me from needing Cal-Mag and the potential PH and magnesium lock out issues it can bring with it. I prefer the minimalist approach and still get great results, but I have fine tuned the process over many years and now it is sort of like making coffee. If I had one piece of advice I could give newer growers, it would be to go easy on the nutes, using only 1/4 to 1/2 of the recommended dose, but only if the soil or growing medium isn't pre-loaded, Like Fire Fox mediums. They are hot as hell and have caused a lot of problems for people who either inadvertently overfeed or have the roots shocked by the hot soil. They usually recover, but it's better to avoid it in the 1st place.
    Keep up the great Grow!!

Thank you again! This is my first ever grow so lots of trial and plenty of error. Our second round is looking so good! But I need this new ph tester to come in. Hopefully tomorrow. I took these pictures last night of one of the buds. I'll be in week 7 tomorrow, so thinking about starting the 2 week flush, especially since the crop is so crappy looking. What do you think?
