As I suspected.... feedback from the Jack's Magic ebay item has one neutral....

"Arrived promptly, but I had specifically purchased the item because I wanted a NATURAL PEAT BASED compost, while it is still possible to buy legally- I have never found the substitutes as good. What arrived was NOT as illustrated, but contains substitute. I chose not to return it because inconvenient, and I didn't want refund, but did ask the seller for comment, as I'd like to find a reliable supplier where I can buy several bags. Had no reply."

No dice, btw. Unfortunately the new product hasn't made it's way cross the pond yet.

    Cheers

I believe that nature's living soil is available in the UK. You add to any halfway decent soil and get a water only grow. I have used it successfully many times. Only issue I've had is if the bagged soil had a bad PH. Click image for larger version.

    15ml per mix per liter soil. So a 12 liter pot needs 180ml. 1200ml = £23 = about £4 per grow?

12 liter good soil I expect 3oz of primo. Minimum.
Add the good soil and it's maybe £10 for 3oz. All it needs is water if the water PH is 6.0-6.3 and chlorine/ chloromine free.
The used Soil can be replenished using same making the next grow simpler. (I would add a bit under double amendment to recycled soil so not really a money savings but don't have to worry about where to dump old soil)
