    Default Answered: Too tall seedlings

    Hi there,

It's 5 days and the seedlings are 10 centimeters (4 inches) tall. Are they too tall ones? I am using 250W dual spectrum Sunmaster .... it was 60 centimeters (2 feet) away from the bulb, yesterday I moved 30 centimeters away (1 foot). Any suggestion why seedlings are so tall already and what to do?

If you repot you can bury the stem all the way to the first set of leaves or just put a bit more mud in the pot if you have the room

Just a regular HPS or dual spectrum? I think I will repot them and then will turn to 400W and try 14 inches also.

Sunmaster 400w dual spectrum mate, at first I started at 19in then gradually lowered it since it sprouted on Saturday
As long as your humidity is high enough and isn't chicken bone dry or the heat will take out the moisture in the leaves quicker than it can absorb it through the roots( until the roots develop more)
I can only reach just under 45% rh as my humidifier has packed up so if you can reach 60% humidity it'll be champion
This might help you out Click image for larger version.
