Infact i dont know if it is the big 4 or the xl 4 because the pots are spaced widely but they are 18ltr pots.

Hi i have a wilma big 4 with 18 ltr pots, im looking to modify it for my next grow and I have a few questions
1. Would I be better using 10 ltr oxypots or 15ltr?.
2. Can I use 1cm rockwool cubes as the medium or should I go with pebbles?
3. Am i better drilling lots of little holes in the tray to drain water or one big 5" hole?
4. How many airstones would i need? could anyone recommend what type and a pump.

also I have upgraded the pump already to a mj1000 and scrapped the drippers and made a drip ring system out of 16mm flexipipe, would this still be ok to use with an oxypot?

1- depends how they fit mate, i used 10L airpots and had to make mods to top tray to allow them to fit
2- cant use rockwool as complete medium mate u use a small section to put cutting/seedling in then fill rest of pot up with pebbles/coco/dirt ect
3- both mate, cut a big hole under each airpot then lots of smaller holes around it(best of both worlds)
4- i think one directly under each pot works best as long as you have a strong enough airpump to power them all

Thanks for the help jesse and the rockwool cubes are a real thing lol im using them at the moment in my unmodified wilma and they seem decent, what is a reasonable air pump a hailea v20 or v30?

Well can I just start by saying wow. What a thread. I joined up to thc talk just for this thread. I think it reviving as I get my 4 ot Wilma tomorrow. Lol

We'll I got my wilma 8 pot wide xl yesterday and I've got to say its a lot bigger than what I thought it was going to be

Thing is I thought it was a bad thing for light to get in the res ?

There is a big gap in the middle of my wilma as you can see here

I've used wilma n they are all the notes I used mate,, maybe get some liquid silicon too, I've not use that but at £9 a bottle it's cheap n people on here claim it's done wonders for them
