Could you sterilise the soil in an oven or would that degrade it?

It's my preference to transplant from the same media to the same media. Guess I'll have to go back to starting in something store bought and sterilized.

    Bollocks. All of this.

If you let the rest of the soil dry out a bit and mix some DE through it,it might help kill the fookers off,or maybe there is something to treat the soil with, maybe predator mites released into the soil while it sits?

I'm not sure about degredation. I can't imagine it's cooking off anything beneficial that I can't replace.

Sneaking to put a tub of dirt into the oven while my wife exists... that's another story. She bakes a lot.

    Cheers

I can do just that. I used to mix it in my soil. Not sure why I stopped. Good thinking.

    Cheers

In the UK, there's a mini oven brand name Baby Belling. Not much bigger than a microwave. Popular in bedsits. (Studio apartments if you're posh.) I wouldn't buy a new one but if you come across a cheap used one or similar, they're a handy addition to the man cave. Plenty of non food projects an oven can do. Can even be used for making springs. Also has 2 hot plates.

That looks amazing. Unfortunately, not an option cross the pond. It looks like a perfect edible station. Or cooking wax or reducing BHO. Damn that's a cool piece of kit.

My willy is wondering why I must continue to laugh at it while in this restaraunt. How to explain?
